Hearing from God

Hearing from God has become a subject of concern. Many Christian singles, businessmen, ministers, politicians and entrepreneurs want to know God's will by hearing His voice because
Isaiah 48:17-
Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
There have been many amazing testimonies of people finding happiness after hearing and obeying the voice of God.

How does it begin??
John 10:27- My sheep listen to my voice; I know them,and they follow me.
Salvation is when you become enlisted into the Commonwealth of God's children and flock. You begin to hear His voice during conversion. You submit to His leading. And you have the right to hear Him.

The Holy Spirit
We have an article already on this. Click here. Genesis 1:2-3 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
Until the Spirit Of God moved upon the waters, God's voice was unheard.

Ezekiel 2:1-2 And He said to me "Son of man,stand on your feet and I will speak to you. Then the spirit entered me when He spoke to me and set me on my feet and I heard Him who spoke to me.
You need to know Him.

The word of God
Jesus is The Living word of God. The Holy Bible is The written word of God.
2 Timothy 3:16- All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do
what is right.
After receiving The Holy Ghost,  He quickens(makes alive) The Word of God.

John 6:63- It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The quickened word now makes us quickened(alive) and aware of our Heavenly or Kingdom status.
Psalms 143:11- Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

Your environment
Psalms 19:2- Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
I have a friend who felt God was wicked. He began writing a letter to God about this. He was so weary that he fell asleep. While he woke up he saw someone else in a worse state. And he learnt to give thanks.
Psalm 19:1- The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament his handy work.
Nature speaks of God.

Friends and associates
This occurs sometimes. God speaks also through our pastors, friends or events. It comes sometimes in the form of advise.
