Isaiah 63:10- But they rebelled and grieve His Holy spirit so He turned Himself against them as an enemy. And He forgot against them.
To grieve is to cause someone to feel unhappy or sad. It is to make one bitter. We are in the regime of God The Holy Spirit. The regime of God The Father was in the Old Testament and before Jesus' death. The regime of Jesus is after The rapture of That saints. He will reign forever in paradise and The New Jerusalem.
The Holy Spirit is God's spirit, Jesus unlimited, The executor of God's command, God's personality on earth, The inward witness, Counsellor, Guardian, Helper and to some best friend. He feels being that He is a person, He rejoices, He speaks and He can be grieved.
What grieves Him??
1 Blasphemy: Is great disrespect and insult to God, His works and His prophets. Mark 3:28-29 "Assuredly, I say to you 'All sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever they may utter. But he who blasphemes against The Holy Spirit never has forgiveness but is subject to eternal condemnation.
You blaspheme against God by being unfaithful to Him Ezekiel 20:27. Blasphemy means causing people to sin Romans 2:24.
2 Rejoicing in iniquity: Proverbs 2:14- Who rejoice in doing evil ,And delight in the perversity of the wicked.
Proverbs Chapter 2 talks about the deficiency of wisdom. People who rejoice in doing iniquity and seeing people iniquity brings reproach to their maker and makes Him unhappy.
Backsliding: Proverbs 26:11- As a dog returns to its own vomit, so a fool repeat his folly. Backsliding means going back to your sinful acts. It frustrates God's effort to bring you closer and makes Him very unhappy.
Feeding on the wrong substance: Being that God's Spirit lives in our Spirit. Whatever we feed our Spirit either pleases Him or makes Him unhappy. Watching and hearing demonic inspired media and information makes Him unhappy. It also causes unrest in our spirit while He is still present.
Please don't grieve Him.
