Handling anger and over reaction

While watching Ben Carson's movie, Gifted Hands, a scene caught my attention- the scene in which Ben lost his temper and was about committing murder. Then it dawned on me to address anger since I was going through the same ailment.

Anger is the act of losing one's temper and being furious.
Ecclesiastics 7:9- Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools.
Everyone can get angry even God gets angry at times.
Psalms 4:4- Be angry  and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed and be still.
Improper anger management has caused peace.

Panacea
1 Read, study, meditate and memorise the word of God (The Holy Bible)- Psalm 119:11- Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. James 1:21- Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and
superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with
meekness the engrafted word, which is able
to save your souls.

2 Proverbs 15:1- A soft answer turns away wrath but a harsh word stirs up anger.
A word can be soft, a pleasant word is sweet to the soul. Most people are moved by what they here. Don't infuriate people with what you say. A word spoken in due season is very pleasant to the soul.

3 It's also advisable to leave the scene for a reasonable period of time to suppress it.

4 You can also transfer the anger to somewhere else like a wall, try blowing wall in the rage and pain felt will help determine the kind of damage it will cause.

5 Try understanding yourself, your temperament and to reach out to something you love as soon as possible.

6 Try understanding people, don't be insolar, try putting yourself in others shoes.

7 prayer is the master key, its the most formidable weapon in the universe, it releases the power in the Word. Since anger is a spirit, fight it spiritually by using the ever great spiritual weapon "prayer"

Shalom!
