Faith and works

Faith is Jesus, for Jesus, initiated by Jesus and to Jesus. Everything outside this is hope. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb. 11:1). Heb. 11:6- But without faith, it's impossible to Please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is the rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.
Come to think of it can you Please God?? You will only try your best but you cannot of your own power but with the help of the Holyspirit you can. Total obedience to this pleases God. And who is the holyspirit?? Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus unlimited, The power of the eternal God head, the executor of the eternal God head.

The Christian walk is a walk of faith, power, love and the spirit. Ephesians 6:16- Above all, take the shield of faith with which you will be able to conquer all the fiery darts of the wicked. Come to think of it, how does faith serve as a shield?? Remember our weapons of warfare are not carnal. Faith keeps our eyes fixed on God despite the devices, inventions and problems thrown by the enemy. It connects us to the transforming power of the most High God.

Works
Ephesians 2:10- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Works are the products of our spirituality, the fruit of our knowledge, impartation and wisdom in Christ. Works are what you do for Christ and for His name's sake. From the above texts, Works can either be good or evil but God Almighty, created us for good Works.
Our major work to be done are:
1 witnessing (evangelism)
2 loving, which is the greatest commandment John 15:12

Galatians 5:6- For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision
avails anything but faith working  through love

Faith and works
James 2:18- But someone will say "You have faith and have no works" Show me your faith without your Works and I will show you my faith by my works.
Vs 20- But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead.
Your Works can show your faith. You ask God for something, why not just behave like a receiver. You want a healed leg, why not get up. Abraham had strong faith in God and His power. He showed this by being willing to sacrifice his son with the full assurance that God, who provided his son could provide another. God bless you.

Shalom
