Your family and your ministry

C.T. Studd is a highly revered name in our Christian heritage. In his days, Studd was the famous cricket player in all of England. He came from a tremendously wealthy family but gave away his entire inheritance and then went to the mission field. He served for a number of years in China and then returned to England. Several years later he felt called to go to Africa. And he went by himself. C.T. Studd didn't see his wife again for seventeen years.

There is a great misunderstanding that has caused great pain to many ministers of God "Their dying family" where God's place has been misplaced, where unity in love is an old tale. I've watched movies and even in reality, many seeds of ministers of God have become great weapon in the arsenal of the devil thereby making their flocks confused. It is God's plan for family to exist right from the beginning. The one flesh phenomenon had long been established.
D.L. moody a general of God of blessed memory said "I believe the family was established long before the church, and that my duty is to my family first. I am not to neglect my family".
To many ministers, their children are like thorn in the flesh.
Improper provision of love, affection, discipline, mentoring, counseling and advice have been the source of this.
1 Timothy 5:8- But if anyone does not provide for his own and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Every human being needs love. Love is God and its atmosphere can be felt in togetherness. Even great apostles of old performed their duties in Christ in togetherness with their family.
Luke 9:15- Do we have no right to take a believing wife as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord and Cephas.... Shalom!
